ANAND GUJERAT. India
On 19th September 2021, the Teresian Association in Anand Gujarat, organized a Family Workshop for the Chavdapura - Jitodia parish. There were around 70 participants who attended this program.
The resource person for the event was Reeves Rodrigues, a TA member of the ACIT West India Association.
The seminar began at 10.00 am with the lighting of the Lamp, a symbol of Christ, by Fr. Paresh Parmar (Vicar General), Fr. Jagdish Macwan (Parish Priest), Reeves Rodrigues, Elisa Macwan (Teresian Association PA member), Sr Jessy Joseph FMM and Satish Parmar (ACIT president).
Rajubhai Macwan welcome each and every one with the bouquet of flowers.
Fr Paresh Parmar, our guest of honour of the day, spoke about the importance of family life, he said God is Love and that our family can be united only through love. He gave an example of a car, that a car needs petrol to run in the same way a family needs Love in order to run smoothly.
Fr Jagdish welcomed each and every one and encouraged that the families should attend these seminars so that they can strengthen their family life. Elisa Macwan introduced Reeves Rodrigues and welcomed him to the Parish.
Communication and other topics
Thereafter the seminar was started by the resource person. The topics which were tackled in their workshop were Communication, Blocks in Relationship, Positive strokes, Empathy and Assertiveness. Reeves gave a detailed explanation about each topic and made the participants to work in the groups. Each participant was given time and space to share. There were seven groups, each group chose a leader to share their reflections.
The feedback was taken and the response of the participant was positive and asked for a follow up program.
Satishbhai Parmar, introduced the Teresian Association. He briefly mentioned about the two commitments in the TA, ACIT and PA members. He also invited the Pre-ACIT for their upcoming formation.
To conclude with the program Fr Jagdish blessed and thanked each one who participated in this workshop.
