With a Eucharist, the Teresian Association in Equatorial Guinea launched 2023 as the preparatory year for the centenary of the Pontifical Approval under the slogan: Let us spread our wings and open doors and windows, come and join us!
On Sunday 29 January, the Teresian Association in Equatorial Guinea held a Eucaristic celebration to thank God for the years that the TA has been present in this country.
More just and caring world
At the start of the Mass, the country coordinator, Izaskun Marañón, introduced the event: “We are meeting as TA family and setting out together on a journey of preparation for the celebration of the centenary of the Pontifical Approval of the TA. That was a milestone for which we feel humble gratitude and hope. As Pedro Poveda said, ‘we have a lot of faith, a lot of hope and we will not abandon our dreams’. Together we would like to make Jesus’ dream of a more just and caring world come true”.
The joy of our vocation
About a hundred people including children, young people and adults, were present at the Mass that took place at the Library of Poveda Centre in Malabo. It was an intimate gathering with a family atmosphere in which we shared the joy of our vocation with everyone there.
As in every African festivity, a shared meal followed the Mass. This was a time for greetings and a more informal meetings.
We will have various gatherings and activities on this journey of preparation throughout the year, with the motto: Let us spread our wings and open doors and windows. Come and join us!
