With the theme “50 years in movement”, ACIT Joven (AJ) celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and for this reason it has prepared a series of events. The first one will be the National Encounter, which will take place from October 9 to 12 at the San José Retreat House, in El Escorial (Madrid).
Over the past five decades, many adolescents and young people in Spain have found in AJ a space to grow, to meet, to discover a way of living the Gospel in the style of Pedro Poveda and to engage with reality. There have also been many members of the TA who have accompanied groups, promoted projects and contributed to ensuring that this vision continues to reach new generations; and, in turn, for some young people, AJ has also been a path that has led them to later join the Teresian Association as members.

National Encounter
The National Encounter next October will have as its priority protagonists the adolescents and young people who are now part of AJ and those who have lived this experience throughout these 50 years.
The objective is to foster encounters between generations, to be grateful for the legacy received and to look ahead together to the present and the future of AJ. That is why the presence of members of the TA who have accompanied or shared this journey in a special way will also be very valuable, according to the National Commission of ACIT Joven.
This is just the start of an itinerary that will last until December 2027, with different national and local events in which the entire AJ and TA family can feel involved. One of them will be on January 11, when, in collaboration with the Local Coordination Teams, they will organise encounters in the cities where AJ is active.
Support and dissemination
The National Commission also encourages the dissemination of this message among former Acit Joven or people linked to the Movement, who may not have heard the news but who are eager to reconnect and meet again with the Movement and with the Teresian Association.
Likewise, any collaboration with the National Encounter is always welcome, both in support and logistical tasks and in the accompaniment of groups. They are also looking for collaborators in the training of animators or in the strengthening of the local realities of AJ.
