On 1 November, as on every first Sunday of the month, members of the Teresian Association Youth Congo (JITC) gathered at the Karibuni Library to share, pray and reflect. It was a simple yet deeply enriching day, marked by a fraternal atmosphere and a sincere commitment to solid values. From the Democratic Republic of Congo, they tell us how the meeting went.
The morning began in a serene atmosphere, with interesting exchanges on various topics related to human person, faith, and our relationship with the environment. These conversations allowed everyone to express their ideas and deepen their understanding of essential issues in an atmosphere of listening and respect.
We then enjoyed the gardens, a peaceful and relaxing moment, followed by a visit to the chapel, where everyone was able to gather their thoughts, pray and water the flowers as a simple but symbolic gesture of care and attention, both towards nature and towards our own souls.
One of the highlights of the meeting was our reflection on the importance of peace, both inner and collective, as well as our responsibility to preserve nature. These exchanges reminded us how much each small gesture can contribute to a healthier, more humane and more sustainable world.
The day ended with some time spent socializing together, and everyone felt welcomed, supported, and encouraged to continue sowing goodness around them.
A simple day, but one full of meaning. A pause for listening, awareness, and light in the daily rhythm.
