The International Youth Meeting of the Teresian Association EIJIT Assisi 2026 steadily moving forward. Beatriz Díaz Tejero, member of the TA and coordinator of the organising team, talks in this interview about the origin of the initiative and all the details related to it.
EIJIT Assisi 2026 arose from the Teresian Association's desire to walk alongside young people. As Beatriz Díaz explains in this interview, ‘the chosen theme is Care for the Earth because it is one of the issues that concerns young people most at the present moment. But also peace, because we are living in a time of conflicts of all kinds, hence the call to build peace together’. In fact, the chosen slogan reflects this: ¡Plántate por la Tierra y la Paz! (Stand up for the Earth and for Peace!).
But which young people is this encounter aimed for? How will the meeting be structured? Beatriz Díaz answers these and other questions in the interview. Together with Roxana Revetria, she coordinates the team of ten people who are preparing it. There is also a logistics team in Italy and Ireland.
