Santa María de Los Negrales kicks off the 2026 season with new workshops in an environment where ecological awareness is becoming even more intense, if at all possible, thanks to the new features introduced at its facilities in recent months.
Leadership workshop
This year, Santa María de Los Negrales is highlighting its leadership workshop, a support programme for teams interested in planning with a strategic vision and discernment. It aims to maximise organizational efficiency by putting people and the wellbeing of teams at the center.

It is carried out on a face-to-face basis, ‘with the certainty that we are a learning community and that it is the Spirit of God who inspires our plans’.
It is a collaborative and discernment-based learning experience, which draws on the richness of team experience and incorporates the unique contribution of discerned strategic planning.
In addition, it reviews the mission cycle and the involvement of management functions in its monitoring. It also names the internal and external networks that support, are present in, and shape the planning. Finally, it incorporates the diagnosis and management of polarities.
It is divided into three blocks.
- Block 1: “Taking care of the team we are” (Sessions 1 and 2).
- Block 2: “Discerned strategic planning” (Sessions 3, 4, 5 and 6).
- Block 3: “Diagnosis and management of polarities” (Sessions 7and 8).
The dates are set with each participating team.

Environmentally conscious project
Santa María de Los Negrales is also an environmentally conscious project committed to our Common Home. That is why it promotes practical reflection on what integral ecology means as a way of life. It involves a way of living that springs from the depths of being and is reflected in a prophetic way of being and doing. This is how it seeks to fulfil this commitment:
Installation of solar panels
By taking advantage of the benefits offered by solar energy, we reduce our carbon footprint and electricity costs, and become more energy independent. Solar panels are an inexhaustible resource that replaces other energy sources that are both finite and polluting.
Care for plant and animal species
Lavender cultivation is our passion. We use it to make heat packs, scented sachets and elixirs to tone muscles and promote restful sleep. We also grow white roses, oleanders and countless trees that lend warmth and freshness to the environment. Squirrels, birds and cats have made this environment their home.
Implementation of aerothermal energy
Providing a sustainable and efficient heating system that cares for the environment because it does not depend on fuels such as gas. It uses energy from the air to generate heating, cooling and domestic hot water.
Cultivation of the vegetable garden and seedbed
In a corner of the forest, sheltered by a wall, there is a small space where vegetables are grown, next to it a small seedbed and some fruit trees that are beginning to grow. This is a practice that promotes awareness of life and responsibility for the care of a living being, love for the environment and also patience.
