On 23 October 2025, the international headquarters of the Teresian Association in Madrid hosted the presentation of the book Os Frutos do Silêncio – Pedro Poveda: Educação Ciência e Cultura, written by Maria do Rosário de Sousa and with a foreword by Cardinal Emeritus Carlos Osoro.

The book pays tribute to Saint Pedro Poveda, founder of the Teresian Association, highlighting his spiritual life, pedagogical thinking and cultural legacy. The author analyses how silence was essential to his vocation and evangelising work.
Maria do Rosário de Sousa, Doctor of Education Sciences and visiting professor at the Catholic University of Oporto, highlighted the influence of Poveda's pedagogical thinking in Portugal since 1945 and his role in educational innovation.
During the event, members of the TA Governing Council, Carmen Aparicio and Lurdes Figueiral, highlighted the dedication of the author, who does not belong to the association but has studied Poveda's life and work in depth.
The title of the book alludes to the spiritual fruits that spring from the silence experienced by the saint through prayer, study and by surrendering his life to God to the limit of martyrdom.
