The Teresian Association, in Manila, celebrated the 75 years of its presence in the Philippines last December 7, 2024.

Dr. Lucia Subaldo, Director of TA Philippines sector welcomed all those present, expressing her gratitude especially to Gregoria (Ria) Ruiz for having come to the country to grace this opening of the year-long celebration of this “diamond year” she being the first Filipina President of the Teresian Association.
The focal point of the occasion was the Eucharistic celebration, a fitting offering to the Lord of the 75 fruitful years of the Povedan charism sowed in the country, bringing light and hope to countless individuals and communities.

Msgr. Gerry Santos, a long-time friend and companion in the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) presided the Mass. In his homily he reviewed the basic elements of the Povedan charism:
- God as the absolute value, reflected in the following of Christ. “He who began the work in us will bring it to perfection,” he said.
- Promoting the infinite dignity of the human person.
- Response to the call to holiness manifested in spirit of faith, virtue and knowledge, lived in the world which is the realm lay are called to sanctify.
The event was an occasion, especially during snack time, to mingle, interact, and joyfully exchange memories and good experiences among TA members, past students, former members, friends touched and inspired by the Povedan Charism.
