The Teresian Association in Equatorial Guinea has resumed ‘Super Holidays’ activities after four years of interruption.

Support classes.
The ‘Super Holidays’ activities were held from 8 to 26 July 2024. A total of 19 young people, 3 teachers from the Virgen María de África Centre and a member of the Primary Association led the activities. The motto for the programme was: “With joy we all learn together; join us!”
Volunteer group
A total of 122 children and teenagers, from 4th year of Primary School to 4th year of Basic Secondary School (ESBA), took part in the “Super holidays”. All of them were eager to learn and to have fun. The atmosphere was one of joy, trust and closeness.
With a view to the integral education of these children and adolescents, each day began with a prayer and a challenge -- a value to be lived out in a special way during the day, for example: respect, solidarity, companionship...

Activities
The activities undertaken were as follows:
- Academic support in Mathematics and Spanish language
- Art, dance, taekwondo, computers, jewellery, crochet, embroidery, English, reading and creative writing workshops.
Each day ended with recreational activities animated by the volunteers. This gave the children and teenagers opportunities to socialise with others who were not in their class or workshop.

Throughout the ‘Super Holidays’, the participants were given tickets as additional incentives with which they could buy some small items at the little market that took place on the last day of the activities.

The ‘Super Holidays’ was an enriching experience from which we all learned a lot. At the end, gratitude was expressed to the Teresian Association for this opportunity.
