Young people from the Teresian Association in Congo-Kinshasa celebrated a day under the slogan “You are my hope,” a day to break out of indifference, listen, serve, and love. This action is part of their participation in the International Meeting of Young People of the TA, which will take place in Assisi in 2026. To summarize the event, they have made an awareness video.
The day was celebrated on 16 November 2025, on the 9th World Day of the Poor. Inspired by the words of Pedro Poveda: “It is time to intensify prayer, be generous with charity, console and encourage,” the young people of Congo undertook an action within.
After the rain, the young people denounced:
- Abandoned waste.
- Plastic in the drains.
- Unregulated construction.
