The TA in Barcelona (Spain) celebrated in April, at the Escola Arrels, an event to commemorate the centenary of the pontifical approval of the Teresian Association.
On Sunday morning, April 21, members, collaborators, family friends, students and alumni of the Teresian Association in Catalonia came to the Escola Arrels in Barcelona to celebrate 100 years of pontifical approval. It was a festive event full of activities with the aim of continuing to celebrate the centenary with the collaboration of all the entities of the Association in Barcelona.
Theatrical performance
To begin with, a group of students from the school performed the play 'Historia de un Carisma’ (Story of a Charism), which traces the beginnings of the TA and some of its characteristic features.
As representatives of TA in Catalonia: Pilar Sánchez, and Carolina Ramírez, intervened to underline the importance of the centenary and to present the TA.
This was followed by a presentation of three international TA projects: the Philippines, training of educators; the Democratic Republic of Congo, reception and education of street children; and Cuba, mission realities that are opening up with the vitality of the nascent TA community in that country.
Projects Showcase
In the courtyard of the school there were large panels of the various projects of the Teresian Association in Barcelona. Each entity offered graphic information and a fun activity.
The morning ended with a dance for peace in which everyone participated.
