On 28 July 2023, the anniversary of the martyrdom of St Pedro Poveda, the feast was celebrated in Santa María de Los Negrales, Madrid, where his remains rest. Some of the young people going to WYD in Lisbon and the participants at the Teresian Association International Meeting of Member Associations (TAAIM) joined in the celebration.
It began with Mass presided by Cardinal Carlos Osoro and concelebrated by Bishop Milton Luis Tróccoli, Bishop of Maldonado-Punta del Este-Minas, Uruguay, and several priests who are friends of the TA.
A large group of people, mostly from towns near Madrid, attended the event. It was a gathering of many nationalities and cultures, owing to the diversity of provenance of the 116 participants at the International Meeting that was held at this venue from 21 to 28 July.
At the moment of the blessing at the end of Mass, a group of TA youth who were about to travel to Lisbon to participate in WYD 2023 were given a small send-off symbol.

At the end of the Mass, several participants at the Teresian Association International Meeting of Member Associations which had concluded at midday, took part in a panel. They each gave a brief personal testimony as a preliminary account of their experience.vivido.
