Five years after its creation, the Youth for Education movement has taken stock of the progress and achievements made during this time.
On September 13 and 14, the Youth for Education movement's facilitation team and animators met in Madrid to give thanks, review the progress made and build new shared dreams.
This movement emerged in 2020 to offer educators a space to share concerns, as well as to train and commit themselves to a more humane, inclusive and fair education, always inspired by Pedro Poveda and convinced that education is capable of transforming people and realities.
It currently consists of 10 groups in Alcoy, Alicante, Barcelona, Burgos, Córdoba, Guadix, Jaén, Málaga, Seville, and Valencia. Other young people from other cities also join online. More cities will soon be joining this movement.
Mª Carmen Aragonés, Sector Director of Nuestra Señora de Covadonga (Spain), was present at the meeting to learn first-hand about the challenges facing the movement and its evolution.
