Organised by the Diocese of Cordoba, on April 5 the Exhibition "Symbol: Light of Nicaea" was opened in the Mosque-Cathedral of this city on the occasion of the 1700th anniversary of the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea. It was presided over by the Cordovan bishop Hosius.

Along with the historical, dogmatic and theological aspects, symbolic-artistic elements such as light, water and fire are on display, evoking faith, hope and charity.
Victoria Díez figures in the exhibition as a witness to faith. The curator of the Exhibition, university professor and priest Patricio de Navascués and the secretary, Beatriz Caivado, chose Victoria as a simple and profound woman, living in her historical setting, close to ours, and radiating the Light that flows from Jesus himself, who radiates from the Father. That Light, proclaimed at the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, is the same light that today illumines the lives of many people, so that they may continue to light up life in this culture and present moment of our history.
The exhibition evokes Victoria through a variety of objects taken from her daily life: a dress, shoes, her painting of the bird, her castanets, the New Testament book with Poveda's autograph dedicated to Victoria, a chair from her school in Hornachuelos, and photos of the wall maps she painted.

Saints in the Family
On the occasion of this exhibition, Maddalena Pievaioli, the TA Postulator for the Cause of Saints, was in Cordoba. This was the occasion for a meeting and dialogue on "Saints in the family: gift and challenge", held at the TA house in the Plaza de la Concha.
TA members, friends and people from various groups shared their impressions of the treasure that the person of Victoria is to the world. The challenge is to make it known so that it can also be light, encouragement and companion on the road for others.

At the end of the afternoon, Fr. Patricio de Navascués celebrated the Eucharist in the chapel of the TA house, concluding this day which means so much to the TA in Córdoba and its Diocese.
The exhibition will run from April 5 to July 5. The Congress will be held from 10 to 13 June at the Visitor Exhibition Centre in Cordoba. Both are an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the crypt of Victoria Díez.
