The Bolivian Upper House has granted recognition to theTeresian Association, at the request of Senator Silvia Gilma Salame Farjat.

At the 135th ordinary session of the Bolivian Upper House held on Friday in the first week of June 2024, the Teresian Association was one of the 28 chamber approvals for recognition that took place that day.
According to the Bolivian Senate website, the reasons given were, “ for its outstanding work undertaking various projects in schools, university and cultural and social centres, thus contributing to the education and culture of the country ”.
The Teresian Association has been present in Bolivia since 1943. Since then it has carried out various socio-educational projects in Trinidad, Cochabamba, La Paz and Sucre.
We also recall that at the beginning of May, the Metropolitan Cathedral of La Paz hosted thanksgiving Mass to commemorate the centenary of the pontifical approval of the Teresian Association.
