Bethlehem University Library proudly celebrated the closing of its annual Summer Camp on 17 July 2026, marking the end of two inspiring weeks filled with learning, exploration, creativity, and friendship. Held under the theme “Love Your Palestinian Heritage,” the camp provided young participants with meaningful experiences that deepened their connection to Palestinian culture, traditions, and identity.

The Pedro Poveda Higher Institute of Educational Studies (ISESP) held a very successful seminar on best practice and research in inclusive education entitled, ‘Innovate to Include’, on 7 July 2026. The event brought together 173 teachers, specialists and education authorities to share innovative experiences that promote inclusive education in the Dominican Republic.

The Teresian Association in Malaga, Spain, launched a project called ‘Espacio Sal y Luz’ that has the principal aim of addressing the needs of migrants and marginalised people. It does so by offering a space for welcome and integration based on a culture of encounter. Migrants have found support as they go through the process of regularising their status.

Over 20 years ago, a project to help migrants was launched in Cicero, a town in the state of Illinois in the United States. It is the Pedro Poveda Educational Project (PEP), a community-based organization offering various educational programs. Its main aim is to improve the quality of life of its students. Since its inception in 2001, there have been many changes, but what matters is that this initiative has been transforming lives from the very beginning and continues to do so today.

The Teresian Association of Linares has dedicated a permanent exhibition space to Saint Pedro Poveda, entitled ‘From the Beginnings’. It is located in a building and cultural centre that form part of TA history.

The Karibuni Library, located in Gombe, Karibuni, (DR Congo) hosted the closing ceremony of a two-day intensive workshop on digital citizenship in June 2026. Fifteen participants successfully completed this programme, entitled ‘From the Manipulation of Information to Digital Citizenship’, under the expert guidance of Laurette Mondzola, a member of the Teresian Association, and Allégra Bossay.

The Teresian Association has been a member of the non-governmental organisations with consultative status with ECOSOC (the UN Economic and Social Council) since 1998 and, as such, has maintained a fairly consistent presence at events relating to the themes chosen over the years: the right to education, the right to development, women, young people and migrants, with these events taking place alternately in Geneva, New York and Rome.
