
On Monday, the 15th of July, Monnitte Monana opened the Pontifical Mission Educational and Cultural Center’s (PMECC) second batch of the summer youth camp with some 26 of 4th–6th grader-participants bustling with relentless enthusiasm and youthful, enviable energy.

After the major celebrations made last January 11 (in Cochabamba) and on May 4 (in La Paz) of 2024, members of the Teresian Association in Bolivia continue to gather friends, ex-alumni, families and collaborators to commemorate the 100 years of pontifical approval of the Teresian Association.

Following Mass on the feast of St Pedro Poveda, a recital was given by the singer-songwriter Luis Guitarra. He performed 13 of his compositions. Mar Solanes, director of the Santa María de Los Negrales Centre, provided a narration and introduced the songs chosen by the performer.

The Mass was presided by the Bishop of Getafe, Ginés García Beltrán, on the feast of St Pedro Poveda on 28 July 2024. It was held in Santa María de Los Negrales (Madrid, Spain), the place where the remains of the founder of the Teresian Association rest. Following the Mass, the singer-songwriter Luis Guitarra gave a recital with the theme “Sal de tu tierra” (Go forth from your homeland) as the underlying message.

Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, has sent a message of congratulations to the Teresian Association on the occasion of the centenary of the pontifical approval of the Association by Pope Pius XI.

The Alumni Network of the Teresian Association in Spain is launching a virtual international meeting of alumni of the Teresian Association. The launch is taking place on the eve of Pedro Poveda’s feast day (28 July), and the meeting is scheduled to be held online on 16 November 2024.

On 18 July 2023, 117 participants arrived in Santa María de Los Negrales (Madrid, Spain) from 27 countries, for the TA International Meeting of Member Associations. The output of the Meeting were Teresian Association Lines of action, thrusts and commitments for 2023-2028.
