
As part of the momentous celebration of the Teresian Association’s 100th Pontifical Approval, and Saint Pedro Poveda College’s 65th year, the whole staff, Teresian Association members, and guests, witnessed last August 7, 2024 at the Saint Pedro Poveda College, Quezon City, the launching of “An Extra-Ordinary Distinctiveness: Itineraries of Lay Spirituality in Pedro Poveda", a book edited by Dr. Elisa Estévez López and published by Narcea.

About 70 people have participated during the month of July in summer programs carried out by the Teresian Association in the Diocese of Holguín, Cuba, since 2010. These are the Victoria Diez Theological and Biblical Course and the San Pedro Poveda Summer School for Educators.

Metro Manila, honored Saint Pedro Poveda, on the anniversary of his glorious martyrdom, in various ways, as TA members offered to celebrate the occasion in parishes where they are involved.

On Saturday 27 July in Montevideo, the TA celebrated the centenary of pontifical approval and the feast of St Pedro Poveda. They came together for Mass in the parish of the Dominican Fathers and later held a reception at TA headquarters.

In Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, a local community held festivities in July for their patron saint. Their parish church was dedicated to St Pedro Poveda last April.

The Teresian Association in Equatorial Guinea has resumed ‘Super Holidays’ activities after four years of interruption.

On Saturday, July 27, in the Cathedral of San Isidoro, priests and Catholics from the diocese and other communities of Holguín, presided over by Bishop Emilio Aranguren Echeverría, paid homage to Pedro Poveda on his feast day and thanked God for the Pontifical Approval of the Teresian Association in 1924. The event consisted of a Eucharist followed by a cultural gala participated by several groups.
